2.1. VPN Setup

CRL Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Using the CRL VPN you will be able to securely access CRL file servers and your user files as if you were physically at the CRL facility.
CRL VPN Setup for Windows 10:
Step 1: Ensure that you are connected to the internet.

Step 2: In the search bar (lower left) type VPN and press enter. You will be presented with the VPN setup screen. Choose the “Add a VPN connection” option:

Step 3: At the “Add a VPN Connection” screen, input the following:
VPN Provider - Windows (built-in)
Connection Name – CRL VPN
Server name or address – vpn.crltechnologies.com
VPN type – Secure Socket Tunneling Protocol (SSTP)
Type of sign-in info – Username and password
User name (optional) – Your CRL user name
Password (optional) – Your CRL password
Then click “Save”:

Step 4: Use the newly created VPN connection by clicking “connect”:

The VPN connection should appear in your internet access window as well: 


**NOTE** If you are on a device that is NOT joined to the CRL domain, you'll need to add the CRL domain to your login name.

Example: The username for Elon R. Musk would be:
