Flank Speed (DoD Microsoft 365) — Quick Help for CRL Users

What is Flank Speed?
Flank Speed is the DoD/Navy Microsoft 365 environment used for email, Teams meetings, and collaboration. If you work with Navy/DoD partners, you may need to join their Teams meetings using your DoD account (separate from your CRL Teams sign-in).

Join a DoD Teams meeting (recommended)

  1. Open Microsoft Edge and start an InPrivate window (or use another browser’s private mode).

  2. When prompted, sign in with your DoD account.

  3. Open the meeting link and select “Continue on this browser” to join in Teams on the web.

Why use InPrivate / Private browsing?
Private browsing keeps your DoD sign-in separate from your CRL sign-in and helps prevent account conflicts (for example, being signed into the wrong tenant).

Access DoD M365 apps (web)
If you have DoD access and a CAC/PIV, you may be able to reach DoD Microsoft 365 services here:
